The third-longest river in France, the Seine cuts through the heart of Normandy to the great city of Paris. It begins at Source-Seine, 30km north-west of Dijon and flows for 776km to exit into the English Channel at Le Havre (and Honfleur).
En route, it visits the towns of Conflans, Giverny (home of the painter Monet), Les Andelys and Rouen, with its spectacular Gothic Cathedral,as well as the great capital city.
It highlights the best of the Norman countrside, Gothic architectural and artistic history, while either starting or finishing close to the World War II landing beaches of D-Day, making for a full week's voyage, usually sailing round-trip from Paris.
