As if to prove that river-cruising's ongoing boom period shows no sign of abating, Avalon Waterways has announced the launch of two more of their 'Suite ships' in 2015.
The Avalon Tranquility II and Avalon Tapestry II will join the 13-ship European fleet next year, adding to the big recent investment in the Suite vessels, which all feature large, sliding glass doors that convert the room into an open-air balcony.
With the two 2015 newcomers, plus the three new vessels setting sail this year — the Avalon Impression and Avalon Poetry II in March, and the Avalon Illumination in June — this will bring the company’s Suite Ship total to 10, or 66% of their total European fleet.
The additional space each of the new class of ships boasts is impressive, including the grand Royal Suite (pictured above), and makes for yet another reason to consider river-cruising - and its booming profile - in 2014.
