Uniworld's New Super-Ship
Uniworld has announced the first details of its new super-ship SS Maria Theresa, which will sail the waters of the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers in 2015.
A sister vessel to 2013's SS Antoinette and this year's SS Catherine (launching on March 26, in Lyon), which are two of the most luxurious vessels on the waterways of Europe, Maria Theresa will continue to add to the boutique river-cruise line's reputation of visiting some of Europe’s most remarkable destinations in impeccable style.
Details of the new ship - which also carries 155 guests - are as follows:
Public Areas & Amenities:
Main lounge with full-service bar, Bar du Leopard with full-service bar, Restaurant, Terrace, Sun Deck with chess and shuffleboard, heated swimming pool, well-equipped fitness centre, Serenity River Spa™, Boutique, guest laundry, elevator, 24-hour speciality coffee and tea bar, free Internet and Wi-Fi access, and cinema.
Staterooms & Suites:
Lavishly appointed riverview staterooms and suites (with French balconies on the Main and Upper decks).
All staterooms and suites have handcrafted Savoir® of England beds, built-in closets, a hair-dryer, safe, individual thermostat, flatscreen TV with infotainment center, and mineral water. Marble bathrooms include L’Occitane en Provence products, plush towels, towel warmer, cosy bathrobes and slippers.
All suites have many additional amenities, including special butler services and one-per-person complimentary in-suite well-being treatment.
The new vessel will offer three distinct voyages next year, the Tulips & Windmills cruise (Mar-Apr); European Jewels on the Rhine/Main/Danube (May-Nov); and an Enchanting Christmas & New Year (Dec 23) on the Danube.
