Oct 22. - With the demand for themed holidays on the increase, Avalon Waterways has expanded the choice of its special interest departures for 2014 that combine an interest or hobby with discovering new exciting destinations along Europe ’s rivers.
The new themes include golf, beer tasting, wellness and join the existing list of jazz and classical music, culinary, wine appreciation, impressionist art, European history, Jewish heritage and Christmas Markets.

Golf: 9-day ‘Austrian Highlights & Bavaria’, July 7
Golf enthusiasts can enjoy the spectacular fairways and greens of selected courses in Austria and Bavaria before returning to Avalon’s newest ship, Artistry II.
