'Launch Season' Hots Up
We are still counting down to the start of river-cruising's biggest ever 'Launch Season', which is now up to an amazing THIRTY new river-cruises in the next few months with the latest announcement by CroisiEurope.
This unprecedented outpouring of new ships, of all types and sizes, will begin on March 17 with Viking River Cruises' mega-christening ceremony of 14 of their new Longships in Avignon in France.
And it continues throughout March, April and May with new ships from Avalon Waterways, AmaWaterways, Uniworld, Tauck, Riviera Travel, Scenic Tours and the exciting new Emerald Waterways.
Now comes news from French specialist CroisiEurope of a three-ship christening ceremony in Strasbourg on March 28, which will feature the elegant new Rhine cruiser MS Lafayette (below), carrying 88 passengers, and their two new luxury hotel barges, MS Madeleine (above) and MS Anne-Marie, both carrying 24 passengers along the canals of France.
